8(a) (STARS) II Government-wide Acquisition Contract
10/2011 : 4TEK recently graduated from the U.S. Small Business Administrator’s (SBA) 8 (a) BD program having actively participated in the government sponsored program for nine qualification years.
During this time, 4TEK operated as a certified Small Disadvantage Business (SDB) in the Federal Governments SDB program. Upon graduating, 4TEK qualified and was awarded the 8(a) (STARS) II Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) a.k.a. “8(a) STARS II”, a/k/a “STARS II”. The award is a Multiple Award (MA), Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide Information Technology (IT) services and IT services-based solutions to the government which may include the integration of ancillary support which is necessary and integral to the IT services being acquired. The 8 (a) STARS II is reserved for qualifying Small Business Administration (SBA) certified 8(a) prime contractors with established eligibility Industry partners were chosen for this contract who could demonstrate competitive pricing, technical proficiency, and industrial credentials. The contract offers simple to complex IT service solutions such as: IT help desk support, information assurance, cyber-security, virtualization, IPV6, Web 2.0, and much more.
